Modern helmets and their various replicas allow for the mounting of many new kinds of equipment and accessories, which can get very weighty. Relying on the Velcro attached to the helmet alone could end with an expensive piece of kit falling from your head and breaking or getting lost on the field. The Deck Retention Kit aims to stop this from happening by giving you secondary retention for gear like rhino mounts, IR Strobes, and helmet lights. It can be woven several ways through the porting on FAST Carbon and FAST Base Jump-style helmets and can then be laced over gear, or have gear connected to it via lanyard. This is a great way to customize the look of your headwear and an even better way to prevent expensive kit losses.
This kit includes about three feet of coyote brown elastic shock cord, 4 double-ended cordura loops for managing the cord, and one MOLLE-minder clip for your tie-off point. There is no right way to tie it onto your kit, so we've provided a few examples and ideas in the photos.
